PollyandLeoA LIT MEME FOR ALL THE BOOK NERDS:
. So, you can read! Congrats!
Are you reading a book right now? How far are you into it and what do you think so far? If you're not, what was the last book you read and how did you feel about it?
Hmm reading The Awakening for school, Soulvisioning, and Ghost Worlds.
. Do you have a favorite book? Do you have... a book you really liked, at least?
Hmm I like the Harry Potter series, hmm and there's a lot of books I wish I could remember the title of but can't remember although I did like Great Expectations.
. What would you say is your favorite genre to read? What do you tend to steer away from?
Hmm usually Mystery. Sometimes fantasy.
I hate the romance kind though.
. Do you read more fiction or non-fiction/information books?
Hmm fiction
. How about a favorite author, or perhaps a few?
Hmm not really.
. Have you read any terrible books? Something you'd recommend staying away from?
Twilight.
. Do you reread books, or is once enough? Any exceptions so far?
Uhhh sometimes. Just like games. If I miss it then I'll read it again.
. What were some of your favorite books as a child?
Hmm can't remember. I didn't like reading back then. I was more into sports and stuff than be stuck at home reading a book.
. Do you usually pick books from the kids, teen, young adult, or adult books? How old are you, if you don't mind?
Hmm I'm 17. And well I usually hang out looking for books at the adult section. They have many interesting selections. xD
. Do you buy books much or mostly just borrow?
Uh borrow. I don't have enough money to go buying around books I want to read. Plus there's always the library.
. Have you read any books after seeing them in movie form? Which did you enjoy more?
Hmm no not really. I usually like to read the book before it premieres on theatres.
. What about reading the book before there was a movie? How did you feel about the movie? Did you even bother seeing it?
Mhm. And I usaully think they did a bad job with the movie compared to the book.I give them a chance though.
. Do you read any other forms of literature aside from novels? Such as graphic novels, comics, (fan fiction???) etc.?
Uhh sometimess fan fictions...there are some that are good you know? And uhhh yeah graphic novels and comics.
. What is a book you want to read, but haven't yet? What intrigues you about it?
Ugh there's a lot of them. By now I probably forgot their titles. I feel bad for not reading them cuz I can tell they're a good book but I never check them out of the library or something.
. If you could rewrite the end of one book (or any other part, I suppose), which would you choose? If you were satisfied with every book you read's end, yay.
Hmm idk.
If you can think of one, name a book that made you:
- cry: A book doesn't make me cry unless I get really attached with the main character or any character and something happens to them. Movies do though. Like when WIllie dies. I didn't cry in the book but I did in the movie.
- laugh: Hmm there's some funny ones out there.
- think, in a deeper sense than the obvious: Uhh the Giver sorta did and some other ones.
- feel pure happiness: ...I dunno.
- become so addicted you put off everything in order to finish it: many
- die of boredom: Uhh there's a few. I remember getting bored from Animorphs when I was young.
- learn something new: Hmm idk school books? xD
- squirm with squickiness: Oh uhh when there's gory stuff going on. Oh and in this one I forgot the name but I'd rather not remember or else I'll get like that again. D:
- squirm with glee: uhhh idk...?
- very embarrassed to be reading it: TWILIGHT AFTER I READ IT. And SoulVisioning
- angry: Hmm characters make me angry. Like the Awakening. I usually hate female characters and well too many girls in that book. ><
Hmm can't remember a lot of books. :/
